The science of baking brought to life by JB67

JB class 67 is winding down in the kitchen and JB 68 is around the corner!

The students have been shown the way of the cookie, quick bread, leavening agents like baking soda, baking powder, and yeasts, cooking sugar and temps by making caramels and caramel sauce.  They have made whoopie pies after learning about batter based baking.  In alternative week, they learned how to bake gluten free, baking for low glycemic levels and vegan.  Congratulations on learning so many different techniques!

Miss Tonja has given them a great base for getting out in the professional production world.  Our new class will be starting on Monday and we couldn’t be more excited.

Don’t forget that it is pie season!  We have got some delightful pre-order options for your next get together!  Orders are due by November 20th for delivery or pick-up on November 26th-27th.

If you are looking for opportunities to find us in the wild we will be at the Madison Night Market. Our stand will be on the 200 block of State Street on Oct 17th from 5pm -9pm and we will have some fall specials that will delight.We will also have a pop up sale at our Storefront for Success on Saturday, October 19th from 9 am to Noon at 1704 Thierer Road in Madison.  Check us out!
